Jan. 4th, 2009 09:42 pmWell, vacation over, go back to work tomorrow. Not looking forward to it.
Got some stuff planning on doing done, but not all of it. Was lazier than I should have been.
I have started up an interesting project. I was looking around for a calendar that had listing of most Science Fiction / Fantasy / Fur etc. conventions.
I had this one ( http://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/k16qllggl79j2bf6jujo3t7s3c%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic )in my Google Calendar, but it looks like it hasn't been updated for quite a long time. In fact, if I'm reading it right, the last update was in December of 2007, and the latest convention was in July 2008.
So, using various sources online, I am working on my own version of that calendar.

I have also submitted it to iCalShare, but hasn't been approved yet. What is there is just what I've added today. I will probably be adding a few every day for the next few weeks. (So, if anyone knows of a convention they'd like me to throw on, send me an email [or comment.])
We went to go see Gran Torino last night. It was quite a bit better than I was expecting. We got in to the theater a bit later than we probably should have. We ended up in the second row, at the extreme left side of the auditorium. I had a crick in my neck at the end of the show.
Took Panta in to vet today, because he's been vomiting occasionally. She said it may possibly be overactive thyroid, or parasite, or just an irritable bowel. And that we definitely need to start feeding him senior formula cat food. (after all, he is over 15 years old now!) So, I gotta get a stool sample in to them... hard to catch him going to the litter box. We'll check that first. [The blood test for the thyroid is $148, just for the blood test. I think we will rule out the parasites first.]
Wednesday and Friday, I went downtown, to observe in a courtroom. I ended up observing a trial in Judge Gottsfield's courtroom. Very interesting, and I am going to have to find out how the jury decides. (I missed the first day of the trial, and the lawyers rested Friday, at 4:20 or so, so the jury will actually start deliberating tomorrow. [Judge Gottsfield and the lawyers all apologized to the jury for them having to come back on Monday. The trial went quite a bit longer than they were expecting.] I hope they find the defendant not guilty, at least of most of the charges. I will give more details when the case is decided.)
