vik_thorWell, got semi-official word today, I will not be getting an offer for a job in Chicago. One of the big reasons, they are not going to be offering any relocation. "We have enough talent here in Chicago, why should we spend the money to bring people from Arizona?" Oh well... That just means I need to kick up my job search a notch. I don't think I want to move over to the Glendale office. I would most likely end up being in the call center. While I am the Scan Hotline right now, I don't have constant phone calls. I would on the call center. So, when the Scottsdale office closes, I guess I will just take my severance pay. It is actually a bit scary. I've been with this company for 13 years now.
(And the funny thing is, I was told they've already made job offers for the positions, and several people have declined the offer, because the pay wasn't enough for them. So, even if I am one of their fallback people, I doubt it would be enough to make the move...)
I'm thinking of maybe getting back into library work. I really enjoyed my time at the Lesar School of Law Library, back when I was in college. I've already sent out resume's to a couple of law firms for library assistant. I don't have a MLS, so can't get full librarian job, but pretty much anything below that, I should be able to handle. Or maybe a file clerk at a law firm.
