Nov. 19th, 2003 10:14 pmWell, it looks like next weeks Enterprise episode is the 'obligatory' time travel episode.
«sighs» Why do scifi shows always have a time travel episode? If they don't deal with time travel as part of the story NORMALLY, I wish they wouldn't do them!
(Especially StarTrek. It seems like the history of the StarTrek universe is totally screwed up... With the time and method of Earth's first Warp flight being bounce all over the place...)
(and I'm not even going to mention The Legion of Super Heroes since it's not a TV series. :)
Shows like Quantum Leap and Voyagers! can be quite good.
«chuckles» Mentioned Voyagers! to Jos, and he didn't recognize it at all. I Googled it, to see if I could bring up something to show him. He still didn't recognize it... Not that surprising, since 82-3 was when he was 10...
I would LOVE to get the series on tape/DVD.
(I wonder if my interest in vests dates to that time... Phineas Boggs (Jon-Erik Hexum) is CUTE! ;)

Date: 2003-11-19 09:33 pm (UTC)I checked some of the links from the website. This is the first time I heard of Hexum's death. It's sad the way it happened.

Date: 2003-11-19 10:29 pm (UTC)I remember hearing about it when it happened. Even the part about being kept on life support so organs could be used for donations.
What I don't remember is if I connected the actor with the show or not...
(I do remember, my first attempt @ keeping journal/diary, I called a T.A.R.D.I.S. / Voyagers Log :)

The original series always went back to the 1960s,
I think Voyager went to the 1990s...
Why not go to some different year? How 'bout the 1800s?
I think it's mainly because it's so they can do cheap exterior shots without having to do any set dressing. :/
