Student Loan

Hate the fact that I seem to be perpetually paying this thing off...

sent an email to Wexler^2 last night about midnight.
Actually had a response when I woke up this morning.
(Even though it was just request for SS# so he can look up my file.)
sent that right back.

«chuckles» Maybe it was my accusation that they don't WANT me to get the silly thing paid off... :)



(and in other news, I finally got around to setting my keyboard as US-international again. so I finally have «my double brackets back»

Thankfully, I never had to get a student loan. They're one of the few kinds of debt you can't discharge in a bankruptcy. It's funny how you can discharge secured loans by paying a pittance for whatever goods you bought — most store credit cards are secured by the stuff you purchase, incidentally, so they could theoretically repossess whatever you buy, even a pair of socks — but you can't just blow away student loans with a bankruptcy.

Not that I'd recommend bankruptcy to anyone unless they're in dire straits.
