vik_thorWell, since I've not posted in quite awhile, this seems like a good time to do so.
Not really been doing much unusual. Just my normal working and reading. Doing a bit of doodle writing for HomesteadSpace. Which is where I first heard the news. A post frrom Kamau, sent me scurrying over to my news page. (Not that I thought he would be joking or anything.... just couldn't beleive it.) Just seeing the headlines, without even reading any of the stories, I broke down crying for at least 5 minutes. Think I sorta scared Woggle. ;) I'm so quiet and introverted most of the time, when something like this happens, I can tend to surprise ppl.
I know it's supposed to be good to cry, and I did feel a bit better. I just don't do it much. The last time I cried like that... Gods, I don't really know... Maybe the first time I read Magic's Promise by Mercedes Lackey. Now when I read it, I know I'll cry, so it's not so unexpected.
Anyway, getting along quite well with Woggs. Not quite as well in some areas as I'd hoped, «eG» (though not through lack of my trying.) but better in some ways. When his old landlady gets his deposit to him, should be able to get us all cought up on bills... «crosses fingers»
It's sort of scary that on Friday, I had just popsted an In Memorium post to HomesteadSpace for Challenger. Based on Allen Steele's work. where the echo is visible on anniversary, but only from space.
The three things I want to do this month:
1: Get my taxes filed! I've got both my W2s, and the receipts from the move out here. Should get a nice bit of cash back.
2: See Cyndi Lauper in concert.
3: go to ScienceFiction convention here in Phoenix, and see Charles de Lint. Hopefully pick up a CD of Carmen Miranda's Ghost is Haunting Space Station Three
