Where Did Your Soul Originate?
brought to you by Quizilla
Yah, I can see this. (of course, I am now living in a desert. Just a bit ironic, eh?) I have always liked water, and swimming, though I've not done much for way to long...
Not done much on this vacation. Did some driving around/exploring. Haven't done work on the Excel stuff I brought homw to work on. May see if I can find a used book store that has some 'puter books and get an Excel'97 book. (Yes, work still uses Office 97! (Except we've got Outlook 2000.)
Been trying to find the 3d Leonard & Larry book, by Tim Barela, Excerpts from the Ring Cycle..., with almost no luck. No chain bookstores carry it, and the only place I've found it online is through (I think it's the publisher...) DreamHaven Books and Comics / Palliard Press but they want $6 for shipping 1 book. I'm sorry, I really don't want to pay ½ the cost of the book for shipping. Still trying to find gay/friendly bookstore(s) here in Phoenix. So far, everything I've come across is 'Adult' bookstores. Not exactly what I'm looking for... Gonna try a couple more, and then may go ahead and order online... «shrugs» (of course, none of them are going to be open tomorrow, probably. :b
Decided to go ahead and order cable modem service, since I'm sure we're going to need it when
Got account set up @ Atomic Comics today.
Phoenix bookstores
Date: 2002-11-27 11:03 pm (UTC)Basically, the gay section of Phoenix (from 7th Ave to 7th St, between Bethany Home and Indian School, give or take) is lacking in bookstores that serve more than just a thirst for porn. You may be better served checking at Borders or Barnes & Noble, both of which are located in various sites in the Valley.
If I come across new bookstores of the kind you're looking for, I will let you know. I get to the Valley only so often, but I hear of things. :-)

Date: 2002-11-28 11:03 am (UTC)While I don't mind a bit of pr0n myself, now and then, my reading goes quite a bit outside of that genre as well. :)
I've actually already tried Borders, Barnes & Noble, B. Dalton, Book Star.... Of course, that's only 2 companies, so...
I'll let you know if I find it!
