vik_thorFinished Gods of Riverworld yesterday. (no, not quite that quickly. I had actually started reading it before The Magic Labyrinth, because I seem to have lost my copy of Labyrinth. Had to order it through the Library.)
Started The Dark is Rising. It's been years since I read it, forgot how good it is! Ordered the rest of the series on ILL.
One thing I've noticed, I can get really into books and movies. (No shit, Sherlock!)To the point where when I set it down, or leave the theater, I feel like I'm in the fictional world for awhile.
Not all books and movies, but some. The Dark is Rising is one of them. I was reading it while doing laundry, and when I left the laundry room to come home, I almost felt like I was in England, with the Dark gathering around... :)
Got very annoyed at the end of work today. A lot of our cosmetics have small labels that go inside the case, with just the item info and order # on it. The retail price is on a gold label that goes on the outside of the case.
In the price changes this week, we received a LOT of price changes, but without the GOLD LABEL!!! We don't change the small label, unless there is also a cost change, just change the gold one..... Mostly in Maybelline, but also some Revlon. AARGH!!! And of course, most of them are increases! Can't get away with leaving the old gold one up till a new one comes in. Gonna have to use RF labels, which just looks tacky when used on the cosmetic fixtures, IMO. Plus they don't last long with all the sale labels cosmetics has.... Of course, I didn't realize this until near the end of the day, so sent off an email to the Beauty.ICS. Hopefully I'll have an answer waiting when I get to work in the morning. (gods, another 8am day... You would think I would eventually get used to getting up that early, but I don't...)
