Weekend and today

Returned my UPS to Staples, since whenever I turned off monitor, when I turned it back on, the UPS would power down. Excuse me??
Met Hartree @ the default diner (Aunt Sonya's) for food, and decided to go see Signs Very good movie on the whole. Nice Thriller type, without the tons of gore we get in most of this type of movie most of the time these days. Was very engaging and totally got into it. But the ending SUCKS!!! WATER???!!!?? They got rid of the aliens with fucking WATER????? EXCUSE ME?!?! If aliens are going to be INVADING this planet Earth (that would be more appropriately named Water, 75% being covered by H2O) Don't you think they would have already gotten the fact that they can't handle water??? That item just BLEW the whole movie for me....
(and this is me after 48hours... right after the movie, I would think about that stupid ending and get incoherent!!!! How could the director (whose name I don't know offhand... I think it's the Indian guy who was on the cover of one of the news magazines last week...) Do that?!?! Is he equating the aliens with the Wicked Witch of the West??!! Thus endeth the rant! (I hope those nested Cut tags work....) (added: They didn't)
Sunday, worked @ B.Dalton. Did laundry.
Today, got the official job offer letter!!!!
I will be starting out in Scottsdale on 9 Sept!! Gives me plenty of time to get out there. Probably stop in KC for a full day or so... (Of course, this is assuming I can find someplace to stay that will allow 2 cats...)
