My First GPS Benchmark!

Jos bought me a Garmin Legend on Sunday!! «Gives his hubby a big nipple nibble» gotta LOVE that employee discount! «G»
(started out going for the Lowrance iFinder, but it seems to not support what seems to be the standard format that geocaches and geodash sites are downloaded in. Rather, the Lowrance uses .usr files, which are only for their mapping products. So we ended up running back out, after he got home from work, and getting the Legend, which seems to be better for what I'm going to be doing with it anyway! :)
I've mostly been playing around with it for most of this week, learning how to do stuff, on the way to and from work. (This double shift is HARD) but was off (from BOTH jobs!!) today! so first thing to do was SLEEP late! :) did a bit of running around, picked up various things (including a new printer cartridge! We can finally print again!), dropped off other various things (including a rather large box at the Post Office), and did a couple of full fledged GPS funs!
The first was a cache in the park out behind our apt. Found the correct location, but didn't find the cache. I didn't want to be to obvious about digging around in the bushes, but I guess I may have to...
The 2d was this benchmark. Which since the not finding of a disk can be as important as finding it, was my first item logged on the Geocache site. I actually like the idea of Benchmark hunting and GeoDashing better than GeoCacheing. dunno why, exactly...
Finally got new tires for my car, too. As soon as Jos picks up some parts from the shop and gets them installed, his car will be running again, and we'll be a fully mobile family again!
