Well, the ads are definately ramping up towards Xmas. The past 2 weeks were quite light, and this week, we have been getting slammed! We've done more so far this week than all of last week. Doesn't help that the ppl. in charge of the Albertson's Combos advertising in Nevada decided to go with a 9 day ad for next week, AFTER we had already closed the ad for the drug items in it!! Meaning we'd got most of the overlaps managed, and all the batches were ready to go. Now, we're going to have to hand enter a bungh of AdCorrection batches to extend the ad for 2 days, back up the items that are in both ads, to make sure nothing gets knocked off ad when the extra 2 days goes off, and rebuild any LD ad items that are at lower price during the 9day ad. And of course, all the labels are going to end up being RF labels for the 2 extra days, because the ad labels are already being printed, with the 7day ad dates... Either that, or read ad inaccurate... Though I'm almost tempted to suggest to Cyndi, what she would say to suggesting to the scan coordinators that they leave the preprinted label up for the 2 extra days... «shakes head» if they had just decided a little over 2 weeks ago that they were wanting to do this, we could've got it all set up so there's no manual batches, and the preprinted labels llist the 9day dates...
Oh, and someone from the Advertising dept here in Scottsdale built a ton of Xmas items with cost of 1¢, which of course WE have to re-enter with the correct cost....

Well, in other news, I'm currently rereading Sword of Ice, and Other Tales of Valdemar edited by Mercedes Lackey, which just about is going to finish the rereading of all the books I brought out with me. Next will be the Brothers of the Dragon series, by Robin Wayne Bailey, who was a neighbor for awhile in KC. «g» One of them is even inscribed to me. (Though when I got up to double check the spelling of his name, I realized I'm missing the middle book of the series. «sighs» I'm definately going to have to find a used book store soon...

Got the workbook for the Excel 2d level course today, so will be working on that some over the weekend... The first level book was pretty easy. We'll see how this one goes. Maybe I'll learn some stuff to improve my Where's George spreadsheets.

Tomorrow is my last day @ work for over a week, and we have a little meeting. I'm bringing sandwich fixings...

and that's about it...
