Jun. 21st, 2014 11:23 amA couple of our friends are getting married this afternoon, at MetroEast Pride (though unfortunately, that doesn't give a timetable of events. Not even their FB page seems to…) Illinois has legalized samesex marriages, and they are taking advantage of it, even though they live here in MO.
(something funny: http://www.metroeastpride.com/ seems to belong to a Japanese water filtration company? at least that's the impression I get from a MS Translated page…)

javarod and I got a Civil Union (gods) 10 years ago now, in Vermont. In some ways, it is hard to believe it's been that long. (of course, in some ways, I have a wierd sense of time… or maybe it's just memory issues). when we do get married, I want it to be a small ceremony, in either Johnson or Union counties (for Mom and where I grew up.) or maybe Hamilton County. (Dad's family)
Anyway, I'm hoping to make it over to Belleville to witness Tyger and Tron's marriage.
