Hope all American's had a fun Fourth of July weekend!! I had a 4 day weekend for the 4th. :) Almost hard to go back to work after that long!
Somewhat surprisingly, we actually did something! we went to Fair Saint Louis (at the Arch park) on Saturday night, for Counting Crows and fireworks. While wandering around before the concert, we went in to see a short movie about the Tuskegee Airmen, in a semi-trailer, courtesy of Redtail.org. Interesting.
The Arch grounds were pretty much full for the concert, with the fireworks after. Seph mentioned that we should start heading over toward the Metro stop early, and beat the rush, and watch the fireworks while we're walking. I vetoed that, saying I would rather just stay there and give my full attentions to the firework show. I'm glad we did. We were pretty much right in front of where the fireworks were going off, and it was a fun show. Two of the ones that stick in my mind were shaped ones. there were heart shaped ones and smily faced ones.
Chakat Silvertail has moved in, along with his cat Mimi. He is in what was out library, and Mimi has taken up residence in our closet. She is getting used to the place, and coming out more often, but she keeps retreating to the closet.
