Mar. 14th, 2011 07:37 pmEnjoyed Rep. David Schweikert's Congress in Community Saturday, though was also scary. He describes himself as a Numbers Person, and he had lots of slides regarding the budget. A lot of it was stuff I sorta knew, but quite a bit of it, I didn't. Especially the extent that Social Security/MediCare/MedicAid are and will be in the budget.
I was probably among the youngest there. Even after his slides, I was surprised at how many of the people who said stuff were wanting him to totally get rid of ObamaCare, rather than telling him to figure out some way of reforming Social Security. (I guess most Baby Boomers are still part of the ME generation, and don't care about those of us who come after…)
I actually didn't vote for him, but the more I hear/meet him, the more I like him. (I actually voted for the Libertarian candidate in November.)
