Moving day (1) and utilities.

Well, I took the first load of boxes down to the new apartment, and got to wait for the utilities to be turned on.
and wait...

Hopefully, we won't have a cascade failure.
APS, the electricity company, so helpfully forgot to tell Jos that they need a copy of the lease agreement to turn on the power, when he was paying the deposit on Friday. WTF?? We've never had to give them a copy of the lease before.
And since they didn't TELL him this, I got down today to find that we don't have electricity in the apartment. (It was supposed to be turned on yesterday.)

Today, I get to wait for the cable and gas (this will be the first time I've cooked with gas since... heck, I think at Mom's house in Cobden... probably about 20 years ago now!)
I don't see any issues with the gas by us not having electricity.
Cable on the other hand...
Probably about the only thing he'll be able to do is leave the cable boxes, and check to make sure we have signal in the cable.
Bleagh.
The earliest they were supposed to be here was 10am. As I am typing this, it is now 11:40.
I'm going to have to call Jos and see if he remembers what the time range was.
