Well, Osco is going to be posting for Management Trainees again on Monday. Don't know where the positions will be, other than not around here. I don't know if I want to apply for it again or not... For the position I want to eventually get, it would be good idea to have mgt experience (though not absolutely neccessary...)
One of the drawbacks right now, if I get it, I have to pay moving expenses. And right now, I have no idea what markets the MT positions are in... (2 of the markets I would REALLY like to move to, St. Louis, and southern Illinois, we don't have any stores in...)
The plus side, is more money. Career advancement.
I'll probably go ahead and post for it....
Been thinking about something that Grandma Rose said when I was down there for Xmas...
She said I should have been born a girl... Which is quite funny, in a way, considering I don't think she knows I'm gay.
She said it because we got to talking about my jewelry. I was wearing 4 rings, couple of earrings, and a Celtic knotwork barrette. And the earrings weren't the type most men who wear them wear... studs or small hoops. They were both french hook style, One was a cutout of a wolf howling at the moon, silver about an inch long. The other was copper conch (I think thats the word for it) with green and brown leather strips, probably about 3 inches long. Add to this the fact that both my hair and fingernails are fairly long. I get mistaken for a woman by customers at work fairly often, when they come up from behind. Get compliments on my nais even more often, by women who want to know what I do to keep them this long. «shrugs» I've kept them long as long as I can remember.
I've seen ppl. who's nailbed ends halfway from the cuticle to the end of their finger, and shiver. On most oif my fingers, the nailbed actually extends a little bit beyond the end of the finger.
I like wearing skirts. I haven't regularly for years, but when I lived out in San Francisco, I would wear one in public with regularity. Full length purple gauze. «g» Not as a drag queen, trying to look like a woman, but as a man wearing a skirt. With a beard.
I like painting my nails, usually blues, purples or greens.
I used to wear eyeshadow regularly, same shades.
Gee, maybe Grandma was on to something... maybe it is too bad that the sperm that got into the egg that made me was carrying a Y instead of an X... Not that I feel gender dysphoric. I happen to be quite fond of my genitals as they are, thank you very much. (Don't know if I'm allowed to be more specific here or not... :)
«laughs»
Now that I've probably totally surprised/freaked out/offended most of the ppl. who actually read this.
The book I decided to start readin was the Riverworld one. Figured since I had just finished a book involving the afterlife, might as well read another version.
Bought a couple of big books at B. Dalton last night.
_Anatomica_ (500pp) and _The Encyclopedia of Mammals_ (950pp). _Mammals_ should come in handy as reference, if I ever get drawing...
