Well, realize you got several things going on here: 1.) The media thrives on controversy, and anything that they can hype as being "uncertain." Sadly, watching political races is like watching paint drip, dry, and then fade all in one sitting. 2.) There is a lot of pushing by the media for a democrat contender to "take it all," mainly the favorite being Hillary, but she is losing a lot of ground and steam showing that she is not as strong as they hype her out to be. 3.) And also, there is a lot of laziness on the part of today's media in repeating any and everything that comes in on the AP wire, or their email boxes. It is getting rarer to find someone who would write anything new, or even do any research on something.
