Have you ever noticed that Bert and Ernie, in terms of lifestyles, are not distinguishably different from Rob and Laurie Petrie off of "The Dick Van Dyke Show?" Could it be, that good old B & E are actually TV's oldest gay couple? That's my theory, anyhow.

Just look at the stereotypes! Bert is high-strung and anal ... Ernie just loves to have FUN! I think it's a good theory. :) -TG
